Why I feel like Vox-ing about everything the past few days, I don't know. I just had to document the props I'm sending my own way for the sweet chicken and vegetable stir fry with rice I made yesterday that made three meals. Tons of chicken with some nice seasoning, frozen vegetables (I know, I know .. farmer's market season), and some rice. See, I'm not a gourmet chef here, so I'm working on a pretty basic level, but nonetheless, I'm happy with the outcome and nourishment it provided. Hallelujah.
I finally moved my old car from the driveway to the street proving once and for all to the haters that it works. The ol' thing took a few tries and certainly isn't road-ready, but my previous car has more heart than most people I've met*. Anyway, I thought that the $200 the guy at the salvage yard offered me was a big rip off, but at this exact moment I'm finding it generous.
Finally, I'm currently watching The Simpson's Movie - all right, but I'm not going out to buy a copy of my own. Following will be some laundry, which is always a tedious task for me. I feel like some genetic issue causes me to loathe laundry, even though it yields clean clothes. Hopefully, as well, I can continue with the packing or moving or whatever the hell it is I'm attempting to do with my life.
All inna day's work.
*I can't figure out if that's sad or not.
I'm nine minutes into Gangs of New York and this is pretty effin sweet. And vicious.
And who knew this thing was 300 minutes long? Geesh.
Update: (1:15 in) Music's iight. I'm missing major parts of this, I feel, cuz I can't focus on just the movie.
You know when you're in a movie theater and you see a trailer to a movie and you're all, That movie looks dank, son. I wanna peep that shit, then you watch the movie you went to watch and can't remember, for the life of you, what that movie was that you wanted to see? Further, when it comes out six-to-nine-months-later, you totes forgot that it was something you were jazzed about six-to-nine-months ago? Yeah, well, best things everrrrr about my movie-watching being restricted to my home and via Netflix. I can watch previews, exclaim the above, log on to my Member Page on Netflix, and place the movie in my Queue (or Save it) and be done. It's kinda my faves.
I just saw the trailer for the new Batman movie, Dark Knight. It’s too bad that when I see Christian Bale I immediately think of his character in American Psycho. More specifically, I think of the scene where he is pursuing a man who is running down a spiral staircase and he drops a running chainsaw down the middle, which somehow ends up cutting the dude. Regardless, I’m sort of a nut for Batman and all spy slash superhero type movies (also mobster movies .. hmm). I could see me watching Tom Cruise acting like a twenty-five year-old spy in Mission: Impossible movies, feasibly, for the next ten years. Yeah, it’s like that.
