I'm super in love with Michael Jackson. I have a whole diatribe about this pedophile thing people claim he is into, but this honestly isn't the forum for it. In undergrad, and most pointedly during Junior year, I would find myself writing papers and basically needing his music in order to complete them in a timely or coherent manner. Currently, I'm attempting to rearrange my closets (which is a huge deal - don't ever quote me, but I have entirely too much closet space at this point) and the only person capable of nudging me onward is MJ. Add in a lil smash-up with Justin and it's basically a go. Well, all except for the part where I'm writing this, but to be fair I'm coupling this Vox entry with my dinner, so it's excusable.
I got an IM today from a friend linking me to this video. He commenced to going on a diatribe about how music has gone soooooo downhillllllll and that if this is any indication of what is to come, he's "worried for the youth of America". I replied, "Since when in the fuck do you care about the youth of America? And anyway, this equals my NEW FAVORITE SONG IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE." His reply: "I hate you." He really just might be sincere this time, too.
After watching this, you can't tell me you didn't just fall over from an overwhelming sense of either love or laughter. "I got my report card back and I got all Fs, so I walked up to the teacher and said, 'Throw some Ds on the bitch!'"
Oh.my.god. Brilliant.
Audio: What's your favorite carol or holiday song?
None of them. I hate carols slash holiday-oriented songs and I hate holidays.
That was pretty uninspired. Can anyone tell I'm in a bitchy mood?
Music-wise, what was the first 45, single or download you bought?

I don't quite remember all of that, but I recall that the first CD I got was a gift - All 4 One. This, of course, was something like a decade and then some ago, and I think it's sort of hilarious to recall the fact that I didn't even have a CD player for said album. Look at me now, iPod-tastic and iTunes-centric.
It sort of makes me sad to have just made that last statement. I loathe *those* types of people, the Birkenstock-wearing, Mac-toting, iPod-tastic, Starbucks mongers. Ugh, another rant for another time.
